The choir has a varied repertoire, including songs about women and their experiences, songs that speak out for social justice and for the environment, songs about life and hope, songs from different cultures, and popular and humorous songs. The Cyrenes is a non-profit community choir, and takes a flexible approach to its performance fees, based on ability to pay. The choir is committed to social justice, and has often performed free of charge for community groups. However, the choir does have on-going costs, and aims to find a balance between the number of performances it takes on and the income received.
