The choir welcomes any woman who wants to sing. Our current membership includes women from their late teens through to their 80s and from a range of backgrounds and experiences. There are no auditions, and no previous singing or performance experience is necessary.
Come along and
see us perform or have a look at some
YouTube clips of our performances. The choir has produced a cassette and
two CDs – have a listen to some of our
songs. Our wonderful
Facebook page shows our choir's vibrancy.
Prospective members are invited to come to a rehearsal. It is best for you to contact the
New Member Orientation officer to arrange this as there may be dates when it would be more suitable to come.
Prospective members who come to a rehearsal will be given limited access to the members-only part of the Cyrenes’ website. After a two-week introductory period during which a prospective member can determine whether they wish to join the choir, new members are then expected to pay the annual membership fee and fees for the remainder of the term in which they join.
The choir rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 7.30 to 9.30pm at St Ninians Uniting Church, 150 Brigalow St (corner of Brigalow and Mouat Sts), Lyneham. View the
Google map directions.
For more information, please read the
summary of our guidelines. It gives an overview of the choir including our guiding principles, and information about rehearsals, fees, performances, and how the choir runs itself.
If you would like to become a member of our choir or would like more information, contact the New Member Orientation officer at
